Sr. Enterprise Engineer (804144-2009-06-01)

Location:  on-site customer location, Richmond, IN

Job SummaryEvaluates, recommends, installs, maintains, monitors, and supports divisional and Global infrastructure components including, but not limited to, technical systems software, hardware, security systems, network equipment, global data communications (LAN, WAN, and Internet) and SAP landscapes.  Analyzes, designs, creates, and implements changes to the infrastructure to add functions and/or improve performance.  Performs problem isolation and resolution that pertain to systems supported.  Manages security to assigned systems that would include LAN, WAN, and internet/perimeter security.

Responsible for Global and local wide area network communications setup, configuration, monitoring and reporting.

Essential Duties:

  • 1.
  • Provide technical leadership in all infrastructure areas/components including technical solution design, and solution deployment for divisional and Global needs
  • 2.
  • Lead system architecture decisions as well as help design and implement Disaster Recovery solution for all responsible systems including Global SAP landscapes
  • 3.
  • Perform data and disaster recovery for all systems assigned including global SAP landscapes
  • 4.
  • Responsible for oversight of security administration and system access on systems as assigned
  • 5.

  • Maintain an up-to-date configuration of all Infrastructure networks and equipment.  Maintains a complete inventory of infrastructure equipment and systems.
  • 6.
  • Monitor usage of all infrastructure components and SAP systems to evaluate infrastructure loading and ensure efficient and reliable infrastructure operations
  • 7.
  • Perform necessary tuning to assigned infrastructure components to better utilize resources to perform to business requirements and meet defined Service Level Agreements
  • 8.
  • Work with third party vendors and lead the work of a team of both internal and external personnel on divisional and global infrastructure projects
  • 9.
  • Manage, as assigned, WAN/LAN services, authentication / Active Directory services,  E-Mail services, file services, print services, Storage Area Network (SAN) Services, back-up services, VM services, operating systems, databases, networks, and Back-Up and Restore Management
  • 10.
  • Assist the Computer Services Manager with all infrastructure performance analysis and Service Level Agreement reporting
  • 11.
  • Must be available (on call) to support 7 x 24 operations.
  • 12.
  • Must be capable of complying with Company Attendance Policy.
  • 13.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:   Requirements for this position include a college degree in Computer Science or the equivalent professional experience.  Five years experience in the technical software area for either large scale computer systems or distributed processing systems and communications networking.

A proven track record of SLA (Service Level Agreement) based operations management in a 24x7 environment
