Project Manager - PT (424144-2009-10-01)

Location:  Detroit, MI

Job Summary:  Manage the installation of VoIP project in high availability client site.

Essential Duties:
The successful candidate will:

  • 1. Assist Technology Services in the development of a scope of work (SoW) document that defines the requisite installation, configuration, and implementation responsibilities of all parties required to successfully convert from a Centrex system to a VoIP system.
  • 2. Assist Technology Services in the development of an implementation methodology that best meets Airport Authority needs.
  • 3. Develop an overall project plan that reflects the SoW and the implementation methodology.
  • 4. Provide VoIP implementation project management services.

 Personal Attributes & Required Skills:

The successful candidate should have, in addition to a broad business background, good interpersonal communications skills, and strong telecommunications analytical skills:

  • 1. Four Years College Degree
  • 2. At least ten (10) years experience in implementing large scale telecommunications systems.
  • 3. Five (5) years experience with VoIP technology.
  • 4. Technical familiarity with VoIP products from Cisco and Avaya.

 Preferred Skills:

Three (3) years experience implementing VoIP at airport locations.


Additional Information:  12-month contract position

Employment Status:  Part-time (16-20 hours/week) non-exempt status
